What do you think of VAR?

Just watched Burnley vrs Bournemouth and Burnley won 3 nil.

Really weird decisions though made by the video ref. Bournemouth had a goal disallowed in the first half. Later Burnley had a hand ball appeal in the Bournemouth box which the ref waved away and then Bournemouth equalised on the counter attack. However, the video ref then went back to the handball decision and gave Burnley a penalty whilst also nullifying the Bournemouth goal.

I generally support VAR but it's been badly implemented. Nobody knows what is going on half the time.

They have been using video refereeing in several sports for years now.

I'm surprised it took this long to make it to soccer. For the most part it fixes bad calls that can change a match.

@NCCindy we've had it in years for rugby and cricket. It's long overdue but the implementation has been terrible.

@Burnley123 It will take a bit of time to get it right.

I don't think VAR is the problem, though I'd be happy without it. I think the offside and handball rules need an overhaul.

I still don't like var in football. It's just not meant for these fast pace intense games where things like 'hand of god' happen.
