Why are American Presidents obsessed with golf? Why wouldn't they rather play tennis?

BlueVeins · 22-25
It probably has to do with the fact that presidents lack agility due to old age.

@Backtoscratch Old farts tend to have more experience and more perspective. Also, they have thicker wallets, which shouldn't matter, but it does.

More major decisions are made on the golf course than the board room...
GOLF allows one to be lazy and out of shape, to zoom about in an expensive, exclusive, place drinking and making deals, planing the downfall of one's opponents. the high costs keep out

Tennis requires Brisk health, the ability to HAVE a high heart rate and hold it! Sweat and excersize, are the antithesis, of the insatiable greed of most of those dranw to "high Office"

Golf is a game that can be played with little to no effort. You can play it by yourself.

It's also a game that can mostly put you in a place with other people of your "class."

Golf allows for thinking and talking. Tennis doesn't.

@Backtoscratch Tennis is very fast paced and you are across the net from the person you are playing against. Golf is much slower with a significant amount of time between strokes. Your opponent walks or rides beside you if you have a golf cart. Lots of time and opportunities to exchange ideas.
I think W was more of a Hunter.
