Are you happy with your club's summer transfer business?

Football (soccer).

I’m actually pleased with their lack of summer transfer business. I thought there was a good chance that Nathan Ake and/or Callum Wilson were going to be shipped out. The fact that both were retained and Wilson even signed an extension are huge. (Bournemouth for anyone who doesn’t know which team I’m talking about.)

You’re biggest asset at Bournemouth is your manager - superb manager, one of the best, if not THE best in the prem.@SW-User

@SW-User You are an American whose really into this and fair play. I have to ask, why Bournemouth? I'm guessing the style of football and the underdog aspect.

I’m a relative newcomer to both the sport and the team. It was really something I fell into. The games are on Saturday mornings here in the states, and my routine on Saturday mornings has always been cooking and baking bread for the week. I’d never really followed the game at any level until 2015, and I started putting them on as something to have in the background while I cooked. Then, I started picking up on strategies and saw some amazing finishes those mornings, and I started to get hooked on the game itself. However, I didn’t have a team.

I can tell you the exact moment Bournemouth became my team. It was 2 minutes into their home match against Manchester United when Junior Stanislas hit this corner kick.

I jumped out of my chair screaming, and at that moment, I just knew it. You’re also right about the underdog aspect and gritty style of play appealing to me, as well. Prior to the match, they did a profile on Eddie Howe and the entire rags-to-riches story of the team’s rise from the bottom all the way up to the Premier League, so I was already rooting for them against Man U. When Junior nailed that corner, it just sealed it for me, and they’ve been my team ever since.

@SW-User Eddie Howe was Burnley coach for a year before he went back home for family reasons. Stanislas played for us then too, though both have doneuch better since they left. Burnley were in the championship then and we got Dyche as a replacement.

Burnley's glamour signing was Danny Drinkwater on loan.

We are weak at right back and also lacking in creativity so it's not been great. Still, we are not in terrible shape.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Chrisy1 I agree actually. I'm glad we've got him. He suits our style and is a bit better than what we already have.
Chrisy1 · 18-21, F
Once he has games under his belt and is playing regularly he’ll get his competitiveness back and he’ll be a star in your team - with him fit, you should stay up.

Sheff Utd, Norwich to go down with 1 other, people are saying Newcastle but they’ve signed some decent players.@Burnley123

That is a good signing. He was a key player for Leicester on their championship run.

Will Burnley be ok without Tom Heaton? Thought he was a good signing for Villa 😬
Chrisy1 · 18-21, F
He’s a bit expensive to be a number two at Burnley - surprised you didn’t loan him out.@Burnley123
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Chrisy1 But who will pay his wages? We got some kid from Leeds too. I don't mid Hart as a number two.

I remember everyone moaning at guardiola for ditching him a few years back. Lol.
Chrisy1 · 18-21, F
West Brom, Leeds, Huddersfield, Fulham - they’re possibilities but may not want him after his performances in recent seasons! You’re probably right, fine as a number 2 👍@Burnley123

@BluntSm0ker Good work. Yes times do change. I remember Blackburn winning the Premier league. It was a day of mourning in my home town.

I kind of think arsenal did the best business in deadline day.

Tierney is a good signing and Luis is a bargain at 8 million. He's has his flaws but he is a good player.

Also, iwobi is massively overpriced so that was also good business for them.
