We the north

Sort of loving this - Toronto is now up 3 games to 1. I'm not a big sports guy but the only sport I heavily ever played was basketball (at one time 8 hours a day) and the only metropolis I ever lived in (after I stopped playing basketball) was Toronto.

Was beautiful seeing over 2000 people watching outside live broadcast put on by the city of Guelph. It's no wonder they have parachuted themselves to the largest sports franchise in all of Canada in weeks. The energy was electric of the crowd and that was during the time where the Raptors were losing tonight.

And while I know who I am rooting for - but more the beautiful reminder of a communal sense of team can create together.

If we had Durant playing we would be up 3

@SW-User Yeah and by time I moved to Toronto had a team I didn't follow sports really anymore. Just have a very soft spot for basketball and Toronto :) And I can see what it is engaging in community here.

@SW-User I still can't figure out why a team from Canada is in the NBA

@SW-User There was once two ;) America decided to expand into Canada - maybe a natural extension, same continent, and after all while basketball was invented in the States it was created by a Canadian doctor in the states.

what does we the north even mean? “We the north”.... what....
SW-User
@NiftyWhite I think most slogans are that, dumb, but in sports when it's a mostly fun rally cry I leave it there and at that. Seems to be working as a lot of Canada is now rooting for the Raptors.

i’m just waiting for free french fries on the McDonalds app everytime they score a certain amount of points (or something like that) @SW-User that’s all i’ve been looking forward to. lol
