Is watching people play video games professionally exactly as worthy as watching people play sports professionally?

I mean, it's basically the same thing, only the skills required for both are very different.
@SW-User

Certainly. Just as the skills required for tennis and hockey are very different.

@Pikachu all the other players are usually way more skilled than the computer AI of something like the single player parts of say call of duty. Or even the multi-player parts of them tend to have fewer players depending on the server/game. A moba is a free for all. Lol

Oh maybe that's what he means, yeah.

I should have made it clear that i'm referring to PVP games.
@Pikachu It's okay. Keep playing no matter what:p

@Pikachu Good point. I'm not really into either. But I do watch playoff sports. I can't imagine watching a gaming tournament.
@sarabee1995

And yet these days such events are highly paid and highly viewed s evidently there is a large audience.

@Pikachu Oh I'm sure there is, and that's great. Just not for me. 🤷‍♀️
