No, people genuinely like the mascot. People just sexualize cheerleaders

I see your point and she may be hurt over it so the only thing to do is try and lift her up. Tell her it's because it takes a lot of personality to be the mascot and not very many could pull it off.

@curiosi this is the second time she tryed out for cheerleading.
curiosi · 61-69, F
@Angeliclove She probably had her heart set on being a cheerleader.
Angeliclove · 26-30, F
@curiosi that's what she tryed out for. Not a mascot

Cheerleaders are apparently not just sexualised during visual cheer display but tend to service their teams, team coach etc talked to cheerleaders who have said that in tryouts they were to give coach a BJ or something? Dodged early sexualisation there

I would take that as an insult and not be either.

@Angeliclove It not only says you dont have what it takes to be a cheerleader but it says you DO have what it takes to be the school sports equivalent of a rodeo clown.
Angeliclove · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch I've never heard good things about being a mascot.
MarmeeMarch · M
@Angeliclove Me neither - they are always getting in fights - kind of a joke.

It gets her snout in the door which could lead to a squad spot later.
