Is the Premiership the best league?

Four English teams in the last four of the Champions League.

Depends what you mean by best. The teams usually expected to win the champions league are all dealing with similar problems and have been needing a refresh for a while. The premier league teams in it have good teams that have been more recently built and are not relying on players who don't have the legs anymore. Same reason Ajax are doing so well and I'd assume Porto although I don't know much about their current squad. The only games expected to test the PL teams so far were Liverpool/Bayern and United/PSG. Bayern have the problem already mentioned and PSG are serial bottlers and played with an undeserved arrogance against united that cost them.

Right now the English teams are doing the best yet I still don't feel it's likely any of them can win it. Wouldn't be surprised if none of them even made it to the final without drawing each other ensuring one goes through. None of them feel like they could be Europe's elite.

As for best as in most entertaining you already know my feelings on that😴.

City are probably Europe's best team. Barca and Juve are also good but it's hard to judge cos of weak competition. Napoli and Dortmund are strong second in their respective leagues but nowhere near heavyweight standard. Bayern have declined, real are six teams in the Prem as good or better then Athletico.

Nobody else has depth and even the super elite are beatable

City aren't Europe's best team until they start proving it. Otherwise they're just like PSG.

@thatscottishguy We will see.

Probably. But then Italy and Spain are largely broke so it shows how there's massive investment in The Premiership unlike other places.

@Burnley123 Yep. And as this 'Economic slowdown' continues, it'll be interesting to see how it all falls out.
Spain and Italy and Germany on the decline, England about to leave the EU......Could get interesting.

@Picklebobble2 Stop talking about politics. 😜

@Burnley123 Its all about money! And who's prepared to spend !
No. Recent history will tell you that the English teams have struggled while the Spanish have done well, especially in the Europa league

Maybe the tide has turned. We'll have to wait and see

We are doing great but there are still some very good teams left in

This champions League this year is there for the taking, any one of the 8 could win it,

@Nyloncapes Don't think Ajax can tbf. They've done great to get this far though.

@Burnley123 anyone who goes to Madrid and wins like that, you got to respect, and must have a chance
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
