Mourinho sacked. Was it his fault?

thatscottishguy · 26-30, M
Too many players simply not good enough but Jose has no interest in helping them improve. Only interested in buying and right now United can't attract the best. They put huge pricetags on pretty average players. The best team now takes players and improves them. City may spend more money but what has made them one of the best teams the premier league has ever seen is the improvement Pep and the coaches have brought out in most players.

@InOtterWords TBH I think he is if you look at United's expectations. They have virtually the same budget as City but are absolutely nowhere near that standard and they are definitely the worst team in the top six.

@Burnley123 I go as far to say worse then my team I support crystal palace lol 😀
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Nyloncapes They are still better than Burnley though. ☹️

It was our fault for chanting 'Don't sack Mourinho' on Sunday. 😟

Seriously though most of us knew when he was appointed that it would end in tears for them. He was already a busted flush after his last disastrous season at Chelski and it was remarkable that no-one at Utd could see it , or that they thought his brand of football would go down well with the Old Trafford faithful. Apart from that his signings were absolutely awful and I think also that losing his longtime No.2 Rui Faria was a much bigger blow than many realised at the time.

Critical time now for Utd , they've already fucked up big time with three managerial appointments. A fourth mistake could be catastrophic for them.

@RodionRomanovitch It's an interesting point that stadiums don't generate revenue. For me, it's interesting to look at the Bundesliga, where the teams have massive crowds but most of them have less money than Bournemouth (stadium capacity 14,000).

I think Spurs did need a new stadium though because it has a big effect of the image and branding of a club. If you have a 60,000 seater stadium then fans take you more seriously as a major power. Players are more likely to sign too.

@Burnley123 I actually read somewhere recently that some PL clubs (Bournemouth probably being one of them) could play behind closed doors all season and still remain profitable.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@RodionRomanovitch I bet Burnley is another given that we still pay really low wages and transfer fees. We'll get relegated and make a nice profit so well done to our board for sound planning.

His MASSIVE EGO was the biggest concern, his thoughts were lets purchase players on massive salaries and not pride in wearing in famous Manchester United shirt. Man Utd will always be bigger than the players and managers. The players had no respect for him, now I hope they start sacking players like Pogba, Sanchez, Fred, Bailley, Rojo, bring in players that want to be at this club not just for the money.

I would be happy with the fat spanish waiter RAFA to take over, I am sick of the foreign managers its time for someone like Giggs and Cantona to step up and bring this club forward
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@billstickers yes he will be first choice, and they will hope he brings Alli and Kane with him
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@nedkelly zinidine zazdan, that's why he has been taking English lessons last few months
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@Nyloncapes but does anyone at utd speak English?
TheConstantGardener · 56-60, M
He's the manager and the results haven't been good enough.🤷‍♂️
[c=#359E00]i don't like his personality, so it serve him well[/c] 🤷

He carries the can. But there are far too many issues at that club now that can be fixed by replacing the manager
TheConstantGardener · 56-60, M
@SW-User One of the biggest clubs in the world. Too far off the pace at the moment and he's spent a lot of money which hasn't quite worked out. I agree that those at the top need a kick up the jacksy too.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
Oh no not another Brexit problem 😂
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@Dlrannie they blame every other crisis on Brexit ,so might as well add this this on as well
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Nyloncapes LOL.

Breaking news is that Mourinho and May are swapping jobs. The Conservatives have decided that Mourinho is the perfect person to negotiate Brexit and Ed Woodward says May 'will breath fresh life' into Man Utd. 😂
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
@Burnley123 she has all the right moves to teach them after her dance performance lol 😀
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
Im sorry he's gone, l was hoping he would lead United into even deeper mediocrity

He's lost whatever touch he had, and has turned into a miserable old whinger. Perfect replacement for Ferguson some might say. Having said that, United in 6th are closer to relegation than top spot. Im not that's a healthy situation for the Premier League.
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
Only one manager could sort out these overpaid prima Donna's and there egos , the great Brian Clough
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
He's got a job as a bus driver, apparently he is very good at parking them
billstickers · 36-40, M
has he been sacked
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@billstickers breaking news. Yep
billstickers · 36-40, M
