so then guys should we own it or should it be sold

for me im fed up of our country selling everyhting off isnt it about time we stopped and started owning our stuff again

For years the old Wembley wasn't owned by the FA for much of it's life it was owned by a company. So I don't get why it has to be owned by the FA... but the real scandal is that lots of tax payer money and lottery money went into building the new one. If the FA just pocket the profit that seems wrong but then they should have been tied up as loans with a payback clause.

I thought selling off was seen as a good thing as it brings in foreign money - thus boosting our position. But I do agree that too many companies end up in foreign ownership which means the profits go off shore and that doesn't seem sensible.

@SW-User i didnt know that but to me im just fed up we sell everythign off then moan we dont get any income from it and then taxes have to go up

yes true they should pay the money back to the tax payer

to me the problem is you can only sell it off once and the probelm is we have sold almost everything off and get no revinue from it all

@milkymum1 I've long been like you - you build something then you hold onto it for the long term payback.

Sadly we're not the money men. That's not the way you do things in business. It is all about quick pay back etc. They think sitting on a building etc. is wasting money they could use elsewhere therefore they go sell it. Many football clubs are similar they sold off their grounds and then lease them back.
