How awesome is Chloe Kim? Back to back 1080’s.....you owned it! You deserved the GOLD!

You weren’ t happy with 93.75, you pushed it further, to 98.25! First, Red...now, Chloe! The future is looking very bright for U.S. snowboarding!

@Motosh72 I can't, because I'm a convicted felon, and because I can't pass a drug test. But I've competed in snowboarding when I was a few years younger, when I was 18 I did in Switzerland, and again at 19 in Canada.

And she is not a "hugely talented athlete." Most girls her age who ride a snowboard can do better than she did. Her big trick was consecutive 1080's, which is something the majority of serious boarders can do around the time they graduate from beginner to intermediate.

@BlueMetalChick So, you obviously have issues. You should spend your time and energy addressing those issues, instead of trying to tear down others.

@Motosh72 In all seriousness, I'm not actually trying to tear down anyone else. I am however upset, because people don't realize that Olympic athletes are not the top tier of their sport, they're often amateurs. In fact, for a long time professionals were banned from competing in the Olympics altogether. And because snowboarding is my favorite sport, I am upset by the fact that an amateur rider who is not an advanced or expert in snowboarding is being considered one of the best, because she isn't. None of the women riders this year were elite snowboarders. Chloe Kim is no different.

And before you assume anything, the felony I'm guilty of is mail fraud.

Neither Red Gerard nor Chloe Kim deserved a gold medal. Do you even watch snowboarding? Their form was terrible, their tricks were predictable and hackneyed, they're both little teenage skater pricks and not real riders.
Motosh72 · 51-55, M
@BlueMetalChick I guess that’s why they have gold medals, and you just sit and criticize. Whatever...
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Motosh72 I'm a better snowboarder than both of them. Look at all the competitors this year. None of them were serious or talented riders. They were all under the age of 24 and most of them were neophytes. Snowboarding has not been part of the Olympics for that long, and nobody takes it seriously. Countries don't send their most talented boarders. Just like hockey was back in the day, when professionals didn't compete in the Olympics, it was all drunk ass college kids who played in bush leagues.

So no, I don't "sit and criticize." I actually know how to snowboard. Which you, y'know, don't.
