Vince McMahon is bringing back the XFL in 2020

Also from the press conference, that I watched the whole thing of on YouTube. On XFL's main YouTube channel.
Vince plans to step back and be behind the scenes. Instead of out front like he was with the 2001 XFL. And hiring professional sports people that have dealt with, the NFL in the past and sports in general and people that know the sports landscape. Both how to deal with concussions, and keeping the game of football AS SAFE, as it can be. While still being hard hitting football. I also see this new Relaunch of the XFL being on as many ways to watch it and devices as possible. So TV and also other streaming services, like Netfix, YouTube TV, an App, etc.
And it's going to be played when the NFL Season, is not being played I would think. So a Month or two AFTER the SuperBowl (Would be my guess)
A 8 Team league to start out with, and 40 Man Rosters for each Team. And then the playoffs, with two Semi-Final Teams. And then ultimate a Championship game
Along with the professionals input. And the fans input on what the fans want to see in this new Relaunch (Shorter halftime, no halftime at all, 2 Hours long games only, etc.)
He also said that the pro wrestling world in any way will not be a part of this new Relaunch of the XFL. It's going to be two completely separate companies. It's going to be about football only. (And from what he said In the press conference) No sideline stuff, kneeing, social justice warrior keyword mess. And not combining the pro wrestling and football world's at all.
So no hearing pro wrestling commentators like good old JR and Jesse Ventura calling XFL games in 2020 馃槀
We'll see though. As a fan of college football, and my Seattle Seahawks. I hope the Relaunch does better. The second time around with better planning.

I have read one of the articles and Vince is planning to do it different this time. No gimmicks or over-sexualized cheerleaders. No "He Hate Me" type stuff and the he wants to have a criminal free league. Now is actually a good time to revive the league because the NFL is very unpopular right now. The NFL was a lot more popular back in 2001.

I vaguely remember that. Wasn't it played indoors? Anyway I kind of don't blame him for trying again. Between The NFL's ratings being down and the game being so tame with the brain injury scare he probably thinks it'll fly this time. Is the NFL continues its trend of acquiescing to the players that want to kneel and toning down the game by 2020 the market will be ripe for some real football again.

I liked watching the XFL. Even If it did only last 1 Season. I hope this time and this go around, that it goes better with better planning from Vince and marketing it more with social media (It's NEVER going to overtake the NFL that's a given)
