Please help... [I Pets]

I have a big cat problem. Since moving to our new house I cleaned up my garden so the flower bed was cleared of weeds so I can put bulbs in for next year.
Unfortunately I can’t do that now because I have loads of cats using my garden as a toilet and keep digging the bulbs out what can I do....?
This is two of the five cats that are using my garden, they sit there till I’m gone then come in my garden

you can't deter cats, when you're serious we can discuss a real solution
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@Jackaloftheazuresand cats are not free.... they have owners not like they live outdoors all time some keep to gardens and not far. An animal that is free has no owner and can do whatever it choose.... that’s free
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@MiraRoss keep excusing them then, it's your yard being destroyed
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@Jackaloftheazuresand I’m not it’s just true if a cat has never been out then it don’t need to but if it’s been out once before no reason why it can’t. I’ll sort a thing out to stop em

@DownTheStreet I’m not always about when they do it
@MiraRoss garden hose motion detector
Put something over it so the cats cant get to it ... This is beside the point but.. Are you allowed to paint the wall and fence?
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@SStarfish my daughter sore em and liked so I got some. Oh no not good
@MiraRoss aww sweet

Yeah they bloomed really nice eairler this year but its a downhill slope and they got burried 😬 In the rains
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@SStarfish oh no that’s never good
Oranges, apples or lemons should help - either the peel or the juice.

You could try shooting them with a water pistol to deter them from hanging around on your fence... at least that's less harmful to them than actually shooting them.
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@HootyTheNightOwl I have tried orange but it rains then it’s gone. I would never harm em
Poppapepe · 51-55, MVIP
Wow,them are big alleycats😲 maybe get a pie pan and tie to the fence post. When the wind blows it will make noises to scare off the cats.
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@Poppapepe they are very big cats
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
They hate the smell of citrus, if you can get either orange or lemon oil and spray it around the area they won’t hang around.
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@cherokeepatti if it rains will it still be ok though? I tried that with orange
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
I think cats don't like citrus scent. Maybe spray some water+grapefruit oil around your property?
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
Will it still be about when it rains. That’s my problem I’ve tried orange@DearAmbellina2113
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@MiraRoss ohhh yeah good point.
Maybe just try to be friends with them. Whenever I try to be friendly with cats they just run away 🤣
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@littlepuppywantanewlife when I got out even open the door they run off
@MiraRoss it’s important for me to know which cat species live there
MiraRoss · 31-35, F

Here you go folks, you can see who the psychopaths are by looking at who advocates for harm of the animals.
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@ViciDraco I would never harm an animal
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@MiraRoss I don't see you advocating the harm, you are looking for solutions to a problem. Apologies if I seemed to imply it was you. This was rather aimed at those giving cruel answers.
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@ViciDraco ah I see, just want a natural way of sorting it with no hard to them

Buy a airgun
There are things you can sprinkle that animals don’t like. It doesn’t hurt them, but they avoid it. There’s also a “scat mat” with plastic spikes, runs $14-$18.
MiraRoss · 31-35, F
@bijouxbroussard I have young kids so I got to be careful what I do
@MiraRoss I understand. Some of the things for sale are not poisonous. They will not harm the animals (or children) but are natural substances animals don’t like to taste or smell. As for the mat, cats’ paws are sensitive and while the plastic spikes won’t injure them, they’re uncomfortable to walk on.
