It would be nice to think there's someone out there that you're destined to be with. To think everything happens for a reason. That every heartache and break up brings you to the person you're supposed to spend forever with.
I think that’s a romantic fallacy. Enjoy your life. Do what brings you happiness. Don’t pine for a soulmate because fate and destiny and one, true love are make believe. Life is about choices. Love will find you when you least expect it, and you’ll probably love one or two people, maybe more, in your lifetime at a soul level. Don’t believe romance novels or Hollywood happily ever afters. They’re fantasy, not reality. It’s possible to meet, fall in love, and spend the rest of your life with someone, but it takes work, dedication and choosing them every single day to make that happen.
