Women should be a civilizing influence on men. Sadly the wave of feminism and the Ladette culture that started here, where girls were encouraged to become as wild and crass as any male caused a lot of damage.

@CathyUK I wasn’t accusing you. But that’s fairly common, the flip side of the belief that women aren’t supposed to be uncouth because they’re female: that men who aren’t are somehow lacking. Women do also have a certain percentage of testosterone naturally occurring, albeit a much smaller amount than men.

I know they do. A lot of testosterone combined with a lack of restraint is not a good recipe, and alcohol of course lowers restraint. My only point was that sometimes women can provide, not should, but can provide that restraint when needed, and that was all I meant.

@CathyUK Some women are a gentling influence on some men. Some [b]men[/b] are a gentling influence on some women. And certain people of [b]both[/b] genders can’t be gentled by anyone, they have to learn to control themselves. 🙂

In most cases yes, but some women deserve NO RESPECT. Just as some men don't.
