I Hate Bad Grammar

This is a poem for all grammar despots.

It's called "OF."

(My thanks to Rudyard Kipling, who inspired me with his "If". That was before he turned to cake-making for UK cake-eaters - a much more lucrative project.)

OF

[c=#BF0000]I think of of
All of the time
Of is my favourite word.

Of all the words
Of all we say
Tis of what takes the bird.
(That should be takes the biscuit,
But biscuit don't rhyme with word)

Where would we of been
If we hadn't of had of?
We would of had wine
But no bottles OF it
We would of had chocolates
But no boxes OF them
We would of had flowers
But no bouquets OF them...
Where would a girl of been
If deprived of all of this?
She wouldn't of had any
Of all these lovely things -
No gifts of any worth.

I'm ever full of gratitude
For the one what invented of
And if they had not of done it,
Then I would certainly of![/c]

That's a lot of pennies. Around here we get about two grammars for twenty quid.
