Facebook message was never delivered?

Ok, so I sent a message to my friend two weeks ago, eventhough we aren't friends on facebook we stay in contact. The message was sent, but never delivered which is odd because she and I both have messenger on our phones and we're both really active on facebook. Now she also deleted her skype a week earlier too. If she muted my messages, if she did would it still say my messages were delivered instead of sent even if she were online?

Sometimes messages on facebook, especially when you aren't friends, can get into the 'Other' folder, or 'message requests'. Not everyone checks those messages frequently. I have discovered private messages there that have been there for over a month.. Since then I check it regularly. There are so many other ways besides facebook to stay in touch with each other. I'm sure you'll one day see her again in real life, or do you only know each other on a digital level? Then you can ask her or tell her what you wrote in that private message.

We went to college, I graduated while she's still a student. So we met in real life but only stay in contact online and through the phone.
