7.2 might be overkill for the room size.
If you do the 5 speakers and a subwoofer setup it should be nice...especially if you shop for decent quality speakers.

Definitely try and listen to the equipment before you buy. There are a lot of options out there and a lot of opinions

Well ... Maybe if you get a cheaper 5.2 system. I do get some good sound effects with my 5.2 home theater system. It's in a room about that size! No point in getting anything bigger.

@DeWayfarer thanks i just dnt think a sound bar will give me what I want

I don't recommend it. Your room is too small. If you do plan to do a home theatre set-up on a budget, the results will not be worth it. If you spend enough money to make it worth it, again, your room is too small to get any real benefit from it. Get some decent speakers with a subwoofer and don't bother trying to impress everyone else. You will get plenty of enjoyment.

It looks like a bedroom. I think a good pair of headphones is your best and most considerate option.

@SirBenedictTheSecond must what ?
SirBenedictTheSecond · 22-25, M
@Thunderyflame Put a home theater.
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
Unless you spend crazy amounts of money its quite disappointing tbh. Just get some good speakers.
Thunderyflame · 26-30, M
@MartinTheFirst the home theater setup would be about 1000$ And what would be disappointing?
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@Thunderyflame because in your mind you believe youre going to get great sound and a moment of realization that this was well worth it, but that never happens and you just fiddle with the settings because you cant get that feeling.

Thanks @MartinTheFirst
