Is it wrong to be upset at someone who broke a promise between us?

I stayed true to our promise that there won't be any secrets between us and I just found out that this person is keeping secrets from me and lied straight up to my face about it. I’m well aware that there’s a difference between privacy and secrecy. It made me realize that I can't trust this person anymore because they can't stay true to their words.
