if someone sends you a gift on here is it rude not to say thank you?

I usually send a gift back and say thanks

I either message them to say thank you! I'd rather a gift for nó reason. Not because I sent one!

If I know them or why they sent it , I always say thank you

It's not mandatory to say thank you if you don't know the person.


It's not rude, but it's rude expect thank you for giving a gift to someone who don't know us very well.

But the person who gives the gift will be sad. I know because I have had such moments.

I wouldn’t expect a thank you or feel bad if someone didn’t thank me. Usually when I do this it’s because one of their posts caught my attention and sometimes the only way to express my thoughts or opinions is through symbolism.

Either send a gift back or simply thank them if you're worried about rudeness. But, you don't owe anyone anything. They've made the choice to send a gift. You aren't under any obligation to respond.

Should mention that if a gift is not unwrapped after a period of time you can redeem the points coins back by checking your sent gifts. I've had a few like that. They never unwrapped it after months.

Yes, it's rude. Sometimes I don't care though. Some people send gifts with the expectation that you have to talk to them now. That's rude too.

If I haven't sent the person a gift in a while... I might gift back. Sometimes I'll say thank you PM.
