Do you have any successful homemade cat food recipes?

I have two cats. One is getting old and lost two of her teeth, so I and my gf are making cat food for them. The MAIN REASON IS WATER INTAKE. The older cat is not drinking enough water. We found recipes relatively easy and they are just plain boiled fish/chicken and maybe throw in a bunch of veggies. But, a big BUT, our cats don’t like our food. The first trial is white fish pumpkin smash. They licked it but then left. The second one is shredded boiled chicken. They just ate one bite or two. 🌝🌝 ps it’s not a all time thing so nutritional value shouldn’t be a concern.
We are thinking maybe they are used to crunchy dry food or really tasty Ciao cat soup so they are not used to soft ‘normal’ food.
Open a can of salmon or tuna, and place it on the floor... simple.

Cats are carnivores. Vegetables don't give them the same benefits it does for us, and as you have discovered, they generally don't like the taste.
@Valerian better for them than vegetables

@PrivateHell too much salt and oil is harmful for cats, but a few selected types of vegetables have health benefits for them.

Just shoot a shotgun at a big Spring migrating flock of sparrows or blackbirds!

Gather them all up, bag, label and freeze them!

1 thawed Bird per Cat per Meal
You might wanna chop up the older cat's bird some.

Just sweep up the feathers (good source of calcium) when they're done!

Thank them if they bring you the head or a foot!
They love you!
I do not have their recipe - but I can see if I can get it if you like.
My daughter has a friend who makes her kitty food and it took a while to figure it out. Their kitty likes organ meat with his meat. If they leave out the nasty bits like liver and heart - the kitty wont eat it.

After a few weeks of giving them nothing else other than your homemade stuff, they'll scarf down every drop and nibble!

Yes. Go to store. Buy meow mix. Measure 1/4 cup of meow mix and pour into bowl. Watch cat scoff at it.
I just give em milk or condensed milk
