How much do I owe?

I'm not understanding this letter.

We have sold the 2012 CHEVY CRUZE LT 4DR ("collateral") that secured your obligations to us. This letter
explains how we calculated the amount of surplus we owe you or the deficiency you owe us, effective as of the
date of this letter.
(a) The aggregate amount of obligations secured by the security interest on
12/23/19 the date of repossession: $7,961.86
(b) The amount of proceeds received from the disposition of the collateral: $3,355.00
(c) The aggregate amount of obligations secured by the security interest after deducting the amount of proceeds
received from the disposition of the collateral: $4,606.86
(d) The aggregate amount of expenses related to the current disposition of the collateral, including expenses of
retaking, holding, preparing for disposition, processing and disposing of the collateral, and attorney fees,
which we know about as of the date of this letter and which are not reflected in the amounts above: $350.00
(e) The aggregate amount of credits and other adjustments, including interest or credit service charges, which we
know about as of the date of this letter and which are not reflected in the amounts above: $185.39
(f) The amount of the surplus or deficiency, as of the date of this letter. If this figure is shown in a (parenthesis),
the figure represents the surplus amount we owe to you: $5,142.25

See if you can sue them saying they sold it for less than its value. If you win, it reduces the amount you owe. Visit an attorney. Most will offer a free half hour consult.
Bankruptcy is an option, but have an attorney specializing in that to advise how that might affect you.

The final figure is not in parentheses so you still owe them $5,142.25.
