Why does that make them a dickhead?
Its not your car and it doesnt effect the car or you. If someone's in a hurry and not concerned about their car being taken then they can do that.
My car can't go short distances, if you shut the car off before it heats up cause of its rotary engine it seizes so close by places I have to sit in my car with the motor running until its safe to shut it off or leave it running in my garage for awhile before I leave.

It's not something i've noticed but the only thing i could think of is that they turn up at a work site thinking they're just going to drop something off then get delayed? Otherwise, intentionally leaving it idling would seem a bit crazy to me.

@Allelse lol what? that's the craziest thing i've ever heard 😧 I've known tradies who start their ute's up in the morning and leave them to idle for about 15 min or more to warm up and i'm laying in bed thinking... ok by the sound of their engine their mechanic is a 12yo 😂..but outside of that time zone it seems weird for anyone to leave their car idling.
