This site has helped me a lot actually throughout these couple of years it exists so I'm a bit confident about writing here as well

Has anyone felt pain in their ovaries (at least I think that's what's hurting me right now) and how did you get it solved/eased?
So far what I thought of:
✔️ go to the doctor (2.07am rn, can't wait for 8 to make an appointment),
✔️ ibuprofen (had one a couple of hours ago, helped a lot but I still feel some pain from time to time)
✔️ tea (can't harm, right?)
✔️ exercise (I don't know how smart is this, but I'm not lifting anything heavy or pushing my limits)
The only thing I'm certain of is that it's not cramps (but lower) and I was hella wrong for thinking that some time ago. At least not regular cramps, these are much smaller but more painful. I tried to google it but they mention plenty of diseases and I don't have s strong stomach. I almost fainted a couple of days ago from this pain. I suspect it's a cyst or something...or more hoping, as I know they are quite frequent and treatable. I just hope my family won't find out.

Yes I've had lots of pain there. In my case the doctors never took it seriously, so they never ran any tests except the routine annual one. Hopefully in your case they will take it seriously. Ovary problems are usually easy to fix if they can find out what's wrong.

@purplepen Did you have any problems because of that?

@Melpomene Yes, but it's got better with age. I'd still like to get things checked properly if I ever get married again, though. Stuff like endometriosis is treatable for sure, and it's not contagious so don't worry.

It may be endometriosis ...

@Melpomene that's ok...I had a friend who suffered badly from it... Sometimes hormones can help... Good luck

@ozgirl512 I hope she's alright now! Thanks

Both sides or one side only? If one, which one?

Can't say this s what it is but pain down low on the left side of the abdomen can signal diverticulitis. That's where a polyp gets something in it (like a popcorn kernel, nut or seed and gets infected. It is painful and would be about right where you think your ovary would be on the left. If by chance, this is what you are dealing with, you need to rest (don't do strenuous exercise) and take it easy on the foods. Better to fast with light liquids but if you have to, just jello or soft foods and not much of it until you can see the doctor. This can be serious so if you develop an excruciating pain and or fever, go to the ER or urgent care immediately. Good luck.

Melpomene · 22-25, F
@midnightsun You had it?
From what?
midnightsun · 26-30, M
@Melpomene why will I have it

I'm a guy
Melpomene · 22-25, F
@midnightsun Then why are you scaring me with your assumption if you don't have ovaries?
tbh wasn't looking at gender, sorry
If there has been some heavy bleedings lately as well then see a doctor asap
Go to see a doctor
