Tips for avoiding the social scene in college?

I'm graduating high school next week and I will be going to college in the fall. The problem is that my university has a reputation as a party school.

I’ve found that you attract whatever environment you want to be around. I’m sure you’ll be pressured to go to some parties, but if you surround yourself with like minded people you can avoid that. Just find your own little niche

take your freshman year at the local community college while living at home then start as a sophomore at the university. then focus on school work. by time you do all your class work and studying you dont have much time to party anyway. 🍺

It's not hard... I was barely social at all in college. Although I am shy and anxious, which is why.
You don't need to avoid socializing, just make sure studying takes priority over frat/sorority nonsense.
