Urgent advice

Hey, guys just wanna share some things with you guys. Retail is doing pretty shitty right now and damn they are one big liars. They have no integrity and just follow whatever information that was being pass on from the manager blindly. Currently, i'm working at my local petrol station and they have this promo going on for every $60 spent on petrol u will get a free sticker(once u collected 5 of them and paste it on a small booklet u will get to redeem a $29.90 water bottle)...

The funny is they kept so many stickers under the drawer and whenever the customer ask for one, they will usually reply back with a "We don't have it anymore", "We no longer issued the stickers anymore" somewhere along the line..... If the customer demands it or insist it only then they will give it and say it "we only left with 2 stickers" and in the backroom they will just say "ohh, the customer was being nasty"

I just dont get it man like wtf? I mean from the customer point of view, they have already spent $60 for a petrol and if u dont have a sticker atleast replace it with something else in return I mean that shld be the correct way, isnt it? or do a marking on a small booklet to indicate that he had already spent $60 and so he can collect it from another outlet.

Also, this is not my 1st retail job, I changed a couple of times and my experience in every retail store never had a pleasant experience working and the managers tend to an asshats and dont usually teach u thoroughly and also wait for something bad to happen to you first and throw their frustration at u and then teach u the proper way.. -_- THe part where they are handling money can quite scary becuz the fact that i cannot even trust u upfront and the fact that u are handling money i just cant even trust u and also if they wan to sabotage u and intentionally say, "Oh ure shortge of cash" it can be a shitty experience.

My sister has her own baking studio and bakes wedding cake and there was one time where both of us went to an event to promote the wedding cake and while she was away for 2-3 hours to i had to take over her but damn like the fact that i had to promote her wedding cakes like "Dummy cake + design same price as the real cake + design, can u believe it? I find it super cringey having to promote a product to customers.

I have worked in an high end store and as much as i want to share it here i cant and ofc they have their own shitty way of doing things that i cant share it here for obv reasons. And a whole tons of experience working in retail.

I'm thinking to another switching job as an IT support and also i seriously want to have at least one yr working experience before going off to Uni next year. I'm thinking of providing a free service to ppl like troubleshooting or fixing their comp/laptop just to refine my skills for the time being so at least i can still write it down on my resume before applying for any fresh entry IT jobs. What do you think any advice?

You simply want to say, people don't have ethics remaining in business these days. Yes, true for many.

If you just want to refine your skills, you can also start with helping people on online forums to troubleshoot their laptops/pc. I guess, it would be better if you start with expertising only one OS like, Windows, Linux or Mac.
