Personally, I ask WHY would I do something and then about how important or beneficial the outcome is

Its what i try do when i write to people now. I havent always been good at it so i think hard about why i want to write. What do i want out of it. If its unclear or if it seems just selfish i dont write. I wish i had done it like this long ago.
