Have you ever tried to tell someone something and they didn't listen, and something terrible happened to them?

Would you feel sympathy?
I wouldn’t say terrible. My stepson’s wife of three years left him a note on the table which he read when he got home from work. Note said, I think I still love my boyfriend-before-you. I’m going to see him to find out.

My stepson told me he was going after her and I said, Don’t go after her. You’ll end up in jail,

Now he thinks I’m psychic.

@Mamapolo2016 Yes he did.Im sure it straightened him out.It was terrible! He lost alot of his friends also.
@Eddiesolds Even If there’s no malice or intent, the dead are still dead. Such things just continue to tragic lengths.

Not sympathy. Frustration is what I feel when someone dismisses important words from me and they come true.

Me and a friend tried to tell our buddy to leave the girl alone and move on, but he kept chasing her. So she ended up telling campus security and he almost got banned from the campus. So it actually could have been a lot worse for him.

It makes it tough because you really want to say "told you so"

Yes, they'll deserve karma.
Yes. I loved them, though, so I found no satisfaction in seeing them hurt. 😞

No sympathy unless they’re family.

It really depends on the situation. But I would still feel terrible for whatever they were going through, and try to help them (based on my relationship with them).

I don't expect anyone to heed my advice and I think we've all ignored the advice of others, especially when something as emotionally confusing as love is involved.

I think being frustrated with a fallable being for not taking the advice of another fallable being seems nonsensical to me.

Sympathy? Nah, not if they didn't listen to reason. They made their bed to sleep in at that point.
