I'll take a shot. I'm laying in bed, in the dark, besides the electric blue glare of the dvr clock. Ac humming along behind me. Sky has gone from a deep blue of dusk to a slate and chalky black as I've been here texting. Fireworks occasionally puncture the surrounding hush.

I'm sitting in silence that could make a person feel alone if it wasn't for the calm peace of the dull orange from the setting sun.

The crisp cool fresh nightime air flows through the window an slowly dilutes the hot heavy daytime stresses as it welcomes the sound of crickets and excites the fire flys warm neon glow.
