@Merlin: look above...lol

@Merlin: Thanks for the advice, I'll pass on the peanut butter though.

@Onecharmingman: You're welcome. I really hope you know you are worth it. It only takes about an hour to do all those things. Once you get back in the habit and go for walks or get outside, you may feel better, just a little. Don't forget your protein along the way. If that is you in the picture, you do look handsome. Please remember, it's the only body you got and if you would like to continue for it to function as it does now, you need to treat it a touch better. Try Primnproper's Britsh Toad in a Hole. She shared with us what it was. Look it up on the internet and see if you can find something similar on a menu from a restaurant near your hotel. Good Luck. I must stop writing to you about your health under her question. It is rather rude. Again, good luck and take care.

Spaghetti al dente with Florentine spinach and cheese sauce: generously topped with lean ground beef and onion.

I am hoping that is a British sort of dish that really doesn't sound like it is explained. I am hesitant to ask, but I'll bite.
What exactly is that? And to answer your question, I am sure we are not having it. We are having chicken salad and beer.
Merlin · F
@Primnproper: Absolutely fabulous!!! 2 thumbs up!! Sorry I went off on Onecharmingman under your question. It just drives me bazerk sp(?) when people have all the opportunity to take care of themselves and they don't.
Your British Toad in a Hole is wonderful. My husband would love it.
P.S. In case you were wondering, I'm the female version of Merlin! ;) :)
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@Merlin: well I guess it's easy for me as I'm home to cook now but when you're working sometimes yo get tired and uninspired..
Merlin · F
So true. There was a time not to long ago that Don (my husband) became really good friends of Marie Calendar's frozen dinners. He's a contractor and brings a lot of his work home and I work in nutrition for our loving pets. I've been expounding into nutrition for people and looking to get my license here very soon! . It's interesting because our furry friends' nutrition, mostly dogs, have nutritional needs very similar to ours.
Big smiles to you Primnproper. Keep those fantastic looking meals coming! Take Care!

What is that?

I have not eaten yet. I worked late and I am starving. I am on my way home from work now. But I may just have some cereal when I get home.

I saw a real toad in a hole yesterday evening! I had just gotten off my commuter train from work, and was in a pedestrian tunnel under the tracks. I saw a large lump of something, and when I got close I realized it was a toad! So I decided to move it out of the tunnel so it would not get stepped on. I had done this sort of thing before.

I stooped and reached but it hopped. I tried a few more times and managed to corral it in my palm, caging it with my fingers of my other hand. I walked out of the tunnel and up a ramp. It remained calm in my hand for most of the trip.

Then, it suddenly got irritable and saw a gap in my fingers and thrusted its head in the gap and pushed hard with its limbs. Gosh those little guys are strong! I held on with two hands but it was squirming out of my grasp.

Then it suddenly peed all over my hands! I was startled so I loosened my hold and it was getting out. I walked to a ledge on the side of the ramp and let it jump to it. My hands were soaked with toad piss. Ugh! It stung just a tiny bit.

Then the toad leapt off the ledge heading away from me. I gasped since it was about a 6 foot drop on that side onto pavement (a parking lot)! I rushed up the ramp and around to see it it was OK. Also, to move it out of the parking lot so it would not get squashed.

When I got there I did not see it. It was dark. Then I saw a strange shape. I approached and to my horror it was the poor toad, on its back, motionless. Fearing the worst, I gently righted it. It immediately hopped away. Whew, it was still alive. But was it in pain? Poor guy. I felt so guilty.

I did not try to pick it up again, but rather corralled it over to some nearby grass. I would stoop as if to grab it and it would hop. Slowly but surely I got it to the grass, then let it be.

I hope it survives and thrives and makes lots of tadpoles!

I walked away, hands full of evaporating toad piss. I had no access at that time to water, so I had to disinfect my hands with window cleaner that I had in my car. Then I spit on my hands a few times and wiped then off with a paper towel. No more toad-pee-hands! LOL!
