too little too late for Thomas Grauner:

If you are not familiar with his bizarre story, here is Wikipedia to explain:

Thomas Graunger or Granger (1625? – September 8, 1642) was one of the first people hanged in the Plymouth Colony and the first known juvenile to be sentenced to death and executed in the territory of today's United States. He was a servant to Love Brewster, of Duxbury, in the Plymouth Colony of British North America. Graunger, at the age of 16 or 17, was convicted of "buggery with a mare, a cow, two goats, divers sheepe, two calves, and a turkey", according to court records of 7 September 1642

it truly is the turkey I am morbidly curious about.

well that's a bit of a mis-representation of the facts and makes it sounds like they just passed a new law legalizing it, which isn't the case.

When the law was written it was understood that bestiality equated with penetration> As written, only acts of penetration are punishable under current animal cruelty provisions.

This narrow definition is what what Supreme Court confirmed, ruling it was not within their role to broaden the definition (which seems to be a massive cop out). There is movement to have the law changed to protect animals
