Do you tip like an a**hole?

BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
No, but I do sometimes use that trick when taking selfies holding fistfuls of money to make it look like I have four times as many $100 bills than I really do.
@BlueMetalChick: great idea!

I take in the whole situation. If the service is not that great but I can see the server is really busy and trying I'll give 20%. If I see the server goofing I give less unless the service is perfect.

Thats right up there with the christianist shitheads who have bible tracts printed up with the appearance of a $20 on the flipside of them, and leave those for tips.

15 to 20% unless the service absolutely sucks then 10% I don't think I've ever had to stiff anyone yet.

No, I'd hate to be that guy. I'll admit that that's a pretty smart a**hole

CaptainCanadia · 41-45, M
Nawh, I tip well.
kutee · T
tipping isnt compulsory in uk, so i hardly ever do, except when big fmaily meal
firefall · 61-69, M
@buddyhally: big difference in the USA - here, they are allowed to reduce waitstaff wages to allow for presumed tips. The minimum wage is somewhere around $7.50/hour, but for waitstaff, it's only $2.13/hour. When I was in the UK, I would tip 5-10% for great service, otherwise not at all. In the USA, I tip 20-30%. Different setup, different customs.

@firefall:
@firefall: here minimum wage is £7.50, about $10, an dit cant be lowered, and most restaurant pay more ot get staff, but ill tip if its a big meal, but ill ask if the tip goes ot stff or to the boss which can happen
sometime speopel give staff secret tips, that they can keep, but if oyu odnt tip nobody says anything
