In American churches... Do the people there sing often in a gospel style?

I lived 6 years in the US, one year in Ga and 5 in Dallas. Studied theology there and was part of a number of churches. The singing is quite different there, especially in black churches and I hope you do get a chance to be part of a worship service in an American church. The songs are overall a lot more upbeat and positive, happy.

Ich wünsche dir, dass dieser Traum Wirklichkeit wird und du eines Tages einen super lebendigen und fröhlichen Gottesdienst mit vielen Gospelliedern miterlebst. Ich bin sehr dankbar für die Erfahrung und die Möglichkeit, in den USA zu leben und viele Menschen dort kennenzulernen.
