Is it true that a if someone in the USA has a legal Permanent Resident green card,..
they can legally enlist in the US armed forces even though they are not a legalized citizen of the USA?

@IstillmissEP: I didn't know this. I think if one is in the US legally and wants to serve in the US armed forces, they should at least be offered citizenship after their tour of duty is completed. Criminals on the other hand should not be allowed in the services.
