WTF? Pyongyang evacuation? Whats going on?

Just now came across this press release from Pravda (a long standing Russian newspaper) Kim Jong Un has ordered an evacuation of 25% of the population, approx. 600.0000 people who cannot escape to bunkers. Apparently this because of the US subs near their waters with nuclear capability. Is this merely propaganda? kindly enlighten me.

I mean, unless you were to hear from someone who is undercover in the north Korean government, no one can tell you exactly what is going on. The government there is known for their propaganda, but at the same time; Trump did threaten to attack North Korea if they launched. So maybe North Korea was getting people out just in case. Based on my own logic, which adds up to a hill of beans. I wild guess that there was no evacuation, but the story was leaked. While the highest members of the government are in hiding, on the off chance Trump stays true to his threat.

I guess that makes sense, just wonder why it was leaked to Pravda, unless Russia is trying to provoke both NK and the USA but not sure of the motive for that, I know even less than a hill of beans.

It is so far removed from what we see that it is really easy to perplex us. Every side has its motivation and it all comes out in weird ways to us because it's a lot of groups trying to minipulate one another.

The evacuation was about a week ago. But you have to take in the context that Trump has said he is prepared to launch a pre-emptive strike if North Korea attempts a nuclear test. North Korea likely will conduct such a test if they're at all able to, as the earlier missile test emphasized.

Trump himself has indicated he's willing to order such a pre-emptive strike on instinct while admiring the beauty of a slice of cake, damn the consequences. Under such circumstances, conducting evacuation or evacuation drills is the most sensible thing North Korea could do. It bears remembering that there's a high risk of escalation, and if bombs drop on North Korea, those won't be the last bombs dropping before the dust has settled.
