I never wrote one but there was a "journalism" professor here who taught a very popular novel-writing class and he published novels of which several made him some money and had a least two movies made from them. He taught his students to use a formula to write novels, some were romance or western novels, and a few locals became prolific writers just using that formula.

@Stereoguy: he died a good while back and not sure he recommended any software....whatever the university had on the pooters in the computer labs back then was what many opted for.

I have this is a great tool for writing, but I do know alot of people who write just in Word. I guess it depends on how you like to keep notes, plotlines, characters, etc.

It is so easy to use. I have been using it since my very first computer classes at school.
