My life is shitty enough to where I wouldn't deprive myself of meat. Not to mention, it's easier to build muscle with meat.

One thing you should be very aware of is that vegetarianism and veganism can be dangerous, if you don't know what you're doing. Most veggies don't have a full amino acid profile. So, as a vegan especially, if you want to make sure your diet isn't going to give you anemia or some other shit, you really have to do some reading. Hemp, quinoa, kale, are really good and have a full amino acid profile, if I recall correctly. You need to know which nutrients you're losing by not eating meat, and which veggies you can eat to compensate. You can't just eat any fruits or any veggies.

So, it's not just about resisting temptation to eat meat; it's also a lot of research.

I did it for 7 months... it's easy to do on your own, much harder when you live with people who aren't and keep trying to feed you shrimp even though you don't eat fish/shellfish either.

I am a vegetarian - my parents are by religious reasons & i was brought up on it - i have tried different types of meat & fish out of curiosity but although i liked the flavors it was the textures I cudn't get used to. Its not hard to follow though, have lots of veg & beans like chick peas & kidney beans etc & easy to mix it up with meals
