How free are we, really?

We are not free. Once we are on the radar of the revenue service we are no longer free. I haven't been doing an official job for about 10 yrs now and stopped paying tax because my income is so low.

I am now receiving demands from the revenue service in my country to explain to them where my income is coming from. My bank account which they are clearly watching contains no more money than an average person spends on groceries in one month, yet they are concerned about where that money comes from.

Freedom is an illusion on Earth.

We are not, our freedom is a delusion. We are always controlled by something or the other. You'll only be free if you cut yourself off from the rest of the society and live on a remote island owned by you, and that too being totally self sufficient. Right from gathering your own food to making your own fabric.

If you're an American you're as absolutely free as you want to be. That said, it might take some money because, I imagine, all land is owned. But you could buy a plot, grow your own food and never interact with anyone if you want.
Perfectly free until they see what you are doing on those pesky hidden cameras and they send the men in black after you

Apart from the constraints of having to work, I feel fairly free.

Freedoms great but with no money in your pocket it kinda sucks
Wow ,I criticize everyone, what does that mean 🤔
