Do you clean your sponge or can you not be bothered?

I've lately gotten into the habit of cleaning my sponge. I dunno why, I just randomly started getting paranoid about germs on my food even though im fully aware theres already germs on my food and in my body already. Its like a comfort thing.

After you rinse it out, put it in your microwave on high for a minute; that pretty much kills all the germs on it.

maybe it is. I wouldn't know. I know that my mom and other people I know just throw away the sponge and replace it though.

no i mean literally cleaning the sponge you use to clean your dishes. It collects the shit you clean from your dishes and that shit bugs me XD
