@lilacs I don't think the OP meant that the staff or other people there would directly embarrass someone for being in the store -- that'd be a stupid business model.
I think, rather that she meant does one feel embarrassed personally walking in. Some people did indicate that that 1st time they were -- some level of conditioning from their youth probably -- but that they got over it.

@xmedleft do you often buy such equipment? I remember as a teen buying condoms. I would wait until a man was at the counter.
