Do you always forgive people even if they have made you cry,Broke your heart or done something bad to you?

[c=#BF0080] Always. I forgive people for me though. It sets you free. Holding resentments and anger and bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting it to harm the other person. It doesn't, it only hurts you.[/c]

Very true

Very well said.
Paliglass · 41-45, F
True. However I've found that it's unnecessary to forgive inorder to let go of resentment and bitterness. The hurtful act and the human responsible can simply fade from the mind and become irrelevant. Forgiveness is not always necessary to let go.

Eventually, yeah. I get bored holding grudges.

I always end up forgiving them for some reason...but never forgetting

Not always, but I have forgiven many people for many things
LachrymoseLamer · 51-55, M
Not always. It just depends on what they did.
Sacron22 · 56-60, M
No. If they've lied they do not deserve forgiveness.
Newport50 · 26-30, M
Well I think they still deserve it because we also do things that are not good and God always forgives us when we seek for forgiveness from him.
Sacron22 · 56-60, M
@Newport50: For me a lie is a destruction of honor. That is unforgivable.
I like your kindness toward others, however.

Why?
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@Newport50: self preservation
Depends on the situation and how much good they may've done that might balance the bad things. Even when I do forgive, I generally don't forget and tend to be on my guard going forward.
