What's one thing you took for granted as a kid but have learned to value?

Just about everything. Health, friendship, time, money, discretion, appreciation itself. Adulthood is sobering and for me, lonely.
A close (extended) family. When I was close to ten, we left my birth country and I've never been with them again;
other than the occasional visit of a week or two.

THAT IS HELL.

I can't really say, that *I took it for granted*...

I can tell you, that living and growing up without them in
a new county with a new language, with no siblings, only your parents,
that really impacted me, changed me, shaped who I am.
I only left for a few years bit still lost mine just like you. It does has a horrible affect.
@CarlaC:
It is not good at all.

I hope you can still keep in touch, in my case we are kind of strangers.

I will try to write to the aunts and uncle there, I know them better than my cousins, etc:
I better HURRY UP, as time is ticking, all the time...🕰💌🛩

Hugs, Luna :)
