Because you like Sonic Youth and The Pixies. It is really surprising that you think Sonic Youth and The Pixies are the best bands from the 80's and never even heard of The Meat Puppets.

Agreed 1980s mainstream was shit but you had the pixies sonic youth stone roses all were brilliant for the alternative 80s but they didnt get the recognition they deserved
