Do you agree that manipulation and deception has become a part of our nature ?

it comes naturally, even if it's self manipulation

As far a the entirety of humanity- yes
But we can choose not to be like that.

I prefer not to manipulate people into doing what I want or like. If they do it's because they wanted to, not because they feel obligated to.

but it is everywhere, even if you don't do it doesn't mean they aren't doing it to you

@anotherclone: oh that's definitely true.
My kids try this on me, it fails miserably for them.
My husband knows better.
But my mom and brother that's a whole different story.

There are definitely levels of manipulation some more subtle than others.

a 10 yr old girl tried manipulating my oldest because they're "dating" 😂😂 and he was at first falling for it, till I had a talk with him to wise him up.

Where I'm from there's a saying "a la novia/o ni todo el dinero, ni todo el amor"

Which basically means to your boyfriend/girlfriend don't give all of your money or all of your love....

I'm happy to say he isn't being easily manipulated anymore. For now at least.

@Tristemuneca: lol, I think we even subconsciously manipulate ourselves to survive and in this fucked up era we live, you have to know a little about deception/manipulation in order to survive
