@couchpotato: Extremely. You need to know what you're looking for. It's for people, who are tired of getting matched up, using some sort of scientific formula, based on asking people questions. People lie, just like they did in the last political polls.
What worked for me: filter by your age/location preferences, read the ad, to figure out if this is approximately what you're looking for. Exchange a couple of emails, to eliminate Scientologists, and Jehovah's Witnesses (unless this is what you're looking for), and meet up, face to face, in a public place, where you can determine if there's a reason to continue seeing each other.
Be brutally honest and don't ever think you can change someone.
