Do you think that once the government creates a law, the people should vote if it should be passed or not?

No, I don't trust everyone to actually read and understand the content of all the bills they're voting on. The vote is essentially the President, who is (usually) the winner of the popular vote, and he's the people's representative whether to sign a passed law or veto it.

It would take too long for anything to happen although the house and the senate seem to take their sweet time deciding as well.

We already do. That's why we vote for "Representatives" to represent us.We don't have a pure Democracy. We have a representative Democracy.
