I think "How To Be An Adult" should be a mandatory class in every high school. Yet they don't have a class like this to help people actually prepare for life outside of high school.

One very important thing that we seem to fail to teach people is that the standard form of "education" is not the only route. We force people into these square little rooms and flash a bunch of facts and pictures in front of them, then tell them that how successful they will be is contingent on how good they are at repeating back what we showed them. It's brainwash. Creativity and exploration and experimentation and [i]experience[/i] need to be integrated into education. Freedom of thought is severely undervalued.

Life skills and actually being able to think for yourself.

Economics and financial planning, yet they don't

Critical thinking, not that it is.

LGBT issues in Sex Ed.

A subject I could go on with forever --

-- How to live your life in a classy way
-- Kindness and Caring
-- Science and Math so you understand the way the world works
-- An appreciation of the culture of others

How to spell "Important" for one, also what that red line under the text means. :)
