I go at it right there. then walk away when I find it resolved... you can't argue forever with people that have only mouths and no eyes and ears.
I have walked away. Then I say what I wanted to say, make my point and go. 😠...

@lovelldo: I rarely go back to it when I walk away. and if i find them speaking more on an emotional level, rather than an intellectual one. its sign to leave and let them drown in their ignorance,,:)

I try not to argue, with my partner I will sit down calmly and say let's sort this out..I like things sorted not left up in the air..

Depends how it's going -- most are hopeless, but I try to be agreeable with agreeable people

I usually leave it. I have been in enough debates with people to know that they never get settled. If there's anything we ever agree on, it's to agree to disagree, making the the whole exchange completely pointless. I rarely ever engage in arguments anymore. They're a waste of time and it's just going to end the same way it began: the two parties not seeing eye-to-eye and with differing viewpoints.
I deal with the issue right away. Rather not have someone have time to plan what they say and bullshit. A heated argument is an honest argument
It depends on how angry I am. If I'm pretty pissed, or hurt, I try to walk away. Otherwise I prefer to settle it right then.
I prefer to settle it when the matter is at hand. Like here I would not benefit from waiting.

I think it's better to have time to cool down a bit and think it over.

With my husband it's more humane to become passive/aggressive and walk away.

Resolve it and get it over with so you can move on.
Apologise and move on :) the only and best way
"If there is no enemy on the inside, no enemy can survive on the outside" (?) Settle right away.
In rl, I usually prefer to leave it until I'm not angry. I'm more likely to say what I really mean; less likely to say something I'll regret.

I want to settle it the right way, but some debates I go into takes days upon days worth of studying. It's quite annoying when people dismiss what you come up with even though you actually do the research for days, but at least you learn yourself.
