This question is for all women: As a woman, does a certain word that starts with “C” and rhymes with “bunt” offend you?

Your thoughts on this word?
I am older than most and I find "that word" offensive. I also find identifying men solely by sexual organs offensive.

It is (I think intentionally) a reductive word, diminishing a woman to one part of her being, and it is used that way. When one participant in a disagreement has exhausted their limited vocabulary, that's the weapon of choice.

To the best of my knowledge, I have been called that once, by someone I did not know and had not ever talked to, here on SW. I don't know if offended is the word, but I was angry, and then I quickly realized that such a person was not worth my time and energy and all I had to do was block them, which i did.

I consider it an ugly word, used by ugly people. I know some others don't regard it that way, but I do.

I think there are other words to use to express disdain for someone that is a bit more tactful ...but me personally no I am not offended ...why? because in order to offend me I would have to care an awful lot about that person's opinion of me to do so 🥱* yawn*

@XenonRush I understand but I feel annoyed by it and really think it's an ugly word
XenonRush · M
Agreed!

A croissunt sounds delicious. It never offends me.
SW-User
@GunFinger hence me saying lol duh
GunFinger · F
@Darkskiescoming we have to go to the bakery to get some..and coffee.😊
Darkskiescoming · 51-55, M
@GunFinger I would love that.
SW-User
i think people that use it with any regularity are stupid and tacky, but it doesn't really offend me
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User Yeah I agree, but I feel that way about any profane word. Because it's supposed to carry weight. But if you just say it all the time, it doesn't mean anything. It just sounds vulgar and repetitive.
CrocodileCookie · 22-25
Words are just mean if you let them be
XenonRush · M
Very true!
@CrocodileCookie
English is my second language soo no. It just makes me annoyed hearing that from someone in my place just to sound edgy
@XenonRush tagalog and visaya. Yeah cebuano, but close
XenonRush · M
Can you please say “Hi, how are you?” In Tagalog?

@Greyscale
@XenonRush well, if it's informal, yiu can say: Uy, kumusta ka na?
Or Hello, kumusta ka [na]

Answers with Heto, okay naman.
Mabuti naman ako, ikaw?
Okay lang ako. Ikaw kumusta ka na?

And those other variations

There was someone on here that I enjoyed his posts and found them interesting. Until he called me that word because he misunderstood me. In under a minute he was blocked.
XenonRush · M
So you find that word offensive?
@curiosi
I find it very offensive. When I first got involved with EP, before I understood that the UK and Australia don’t consider it as serious an affront, I was blocking people who said it, even if not to me.
Solana · 36-40, F
No if someone calls me it during an argument I know I have royally annoyed them to the point they have no argument just to name call me the worst word they can think of. Also don’t mind it in the bedroom.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Callmewhatyouwill I always saw it used like this
@BlueMetalChick haven't seen that one. Both are fun
ginnyfromtheblock · 26-30, F
i think the fact there’s no male equivalent gives it extra power. the fact it’s meant to offend kinda makes it cheesy but anyway i rarely say it
For as long as it is not used to refer to me in a context that’s insulting.

I dont have a problem with the word itself.
BananaBrown · 41-45, F
It doesn’t particularly offend me. I don’t want to be called that, but there are a lot of other words I don’t wish to be called either.
No. But I only use it in special circumstances.
SW-User
@Pinkstarburst Exactly
SW-User
It doesn't offend me..but, I am careful not to offend others with it.
Doomflower · 36-40, M
No. It's a very powerful word to be used sparingly though.
Santi96 · 26-30
Yes its an insult

@CrocodileCookie Probably either jackass or fuckface. I'm also quite fond of shithead. And if course you can't go wrong with the classic motherfucker. Dickhead and cocksucker are good but you gotta use them sparingly cos they get old fast.
XenonRush · M
Do you really?
What is hello and thank you?

@BlueMetalChick
CrocodileCookie · 22-25
