People always remember what they want to remember.

When they say,
Oh, I forgot to mention you. I feel so horrible.
I say, no you don't. You remembered what was important to you. How could you possibly forget to mention someone when you were reading the whole thing line by line/word by word from a script. That means I never made it to that list?

I mean I don't want no credit or attention, but don't act like you care when you don't.
Sometimes the most important people get left out...happens to me all the time! The person I forget is actually so crucial to me snd my project ...yet I forget them in the nick of that moment.

Work pressure and all that is understandable. Your mind operates differently at work. This person was a family member. He mentioned everyone from his town, friends from his golf tour and stuff. He made a speech with all their names in it.

That’s fine, it really doesn’t matter, but when they bring it up saying “oh how could I forget you” the whole thing seems like a part of the plan just to say those words. If you read between the lines they are actually saying, “I deliberately kept you out of that list”. @Vivaci

@Vivaci As they say you can choose your family. I say yes, but you can choose to keep them out of your life when they are toxic.
