If you were training somebody new and right away they were making alot of mistakes

Would you fire them right away or suggest it?

See I’ve trained individuals to do lawn treatments and from day one you could tell if someone could do the job or not but mistakes are to be expected in training now if they are sleeping during training or don’t have the physical ability to do the job that is a different issue

If I were in such a position I would suggest it, and allow them to learn from their mistakes. Making mistakes is how one grows and learns how to do something.

However, if they continued to make those mistakes I might have to consider letting them go.

They're new. Did you have any expectations that were communicated prior to hiring, and they're not meeting those expectations?

Yes. I only want to train people who can already do the job
Do they pick it up or get dumber as you train them?

They're learning, no.
